Dear Monroe Harding Family and Supporters,

All of us at Monroe Harding wish you and your families a safe and very happy Thanksgiving holiday.

One of the many things I am thankful for at Monroe Harding is the opportunity every day to lead and to work together with such an amazing team of dedicated, passionate, and talented staff members.

Our staff continues to provide outstanding support to our families and young people in this virtual work environment. One staff member with whom we are especially proud of is Chaney Cruze, Monroe Harding’s Director of Education.

We recently celebrated Chaney’s eighth year of outstanding service with our agency. Over those years she helped hundreds of students earn their high school equivalency through the HiSET and Penn Foster programs, and supported hundreds of young adults in their pursuit of post-secondary education. And, she has never more busy or making more of a positive impact that since mid-March of this year, when the pandemic so abruptly moved her and her students to the online and virtual education support world.

We are not alone in our praise and recognition of Chaney’s efforts.  On October 23, at the Middle Tennessee Adult Education Symposium, the Nashville Public Library honored Chaney as the 2020 Adult Educator of the Year! The award recognizes an adult education professional for their contributions in helping adults in Nashville obtain their personal, professional, and education goals. Congratulations to Chaney and her many contributions to our young people and to our community! She embodies the very spirit of Monroe Harding’s mission to change young peoples’ lives!

Sincerely,
