Dear Monroe Harding Family and Supporters,

Wishing you a very happy and safe 2021! Monroe Harding’s outstanding Board of Directors continues to evolve and grow!

We are excited to announce the addition of three very impressive new members to our board this month, each of whom brings incredible leadership to our organization and passion for our mission:

Kelly Etheridge: Kelly serves as Volunteer Coordinator with Alive Hospice, working to recruit and orient new volunteers and match current volunteers to patients according to needs. Kelly began her work with Monroe Harding as a trained volunteer in 2019. Her extensive community volunteer experience was instrumental in providing dinners for our young people attending life skills classes. She was so impressed with our young people that she wanted to be further involved. Accordingly, Kelly served as Board Intern in 2020. Kelly earned her degree in Business Administration from Belmont University. She also is a graduate of Young Leaders Council.

Reggie D. Ford, CPA: Reggie is a Nashville native who founded and serves as President of RoseCrete Wealth Management. Reggie founded Rosecrete on the belief that there are two things that can dramatically change a person’s life for the better: education and financial support. Reggie earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Vanderbilt University, where he was also a member of the football team. He earned his Master of Accountancy from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management, where he was recognized as an Owen World Shaper, an honor given to those who not only succeed in business, but also improve the community. Reggie’s passions are at the intersection of youth empowerment, education, sports, and mental
health. His desire to leave an impact in these spears is evident through his work with organizations such as Backfield in Motion and Communities in Schools. In 2017, Reggie was recognized as one of the Nashville Black 40 Under 40. In 2019, he was nominated for Forbes 30 Under 30 and in 2020, he was featured in the Top 100 in Finance Magazine.

Sydney Rogers: Sydney is a strategist, entrepreneur, and educator with over 35 years of experience including executive level leadership at the community college, K-12 education, children’s health, and statewide and national initiatives. Sydney most recently developed from the ground-up and led as Executive Director Alignment Nashville and Alignment USA. Prior to that, Sydney served Nashville State Community College for 30 years in a variety of leadership positions including most recently Vice President of Community and Economic Development. Sydney received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Middle Tennessee State University and her Master of Science Degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. She is a certified Coach and Leadership Development Instructor, has an accomplished history of service with local and national nonprofits boards and committees including Nashville State Community College Foundation, and is a published author and well-known speaker on a variety of education-related topics including advanced technical education.

Please join me in welcoming Kelly, Reggie, and Sydney to our family and thank you for your continued support of our mission of changing young peoples’ lives!

Sincerely,

David Popen
