Dear Monroe Harding Family and Supporters,

We wish you a wonderful start to the spring season! There is an awakening we all experience as the grass turns green, trees and flowers bloom, gardens are planted, and the day stays lighter longer. There is an eagerness, and sense of hope and excitement that comes with springtime.

We all feel it more than ever this year as we see signs of hope emerging from the global pandemic. Those same senses are awakening at Monroe Harding, and we are eager and excited for what is to come this year.

We are especially enthusiastic about the positive impact our essential support programs and services make on the lives of vulnerable children, teens, and young adults in our community. We are more resolved than ever to do for these vulnerable young people exactly what strong families do for their kids.

The demand for our therapeutic foster care program for children and teens, and our support services at our Youth Connections Resource Center for young adults, skyrocketed this past year. Our staff and volunteers are supporting a record number of young people and families.

Your support is needed now more than ever. Help us wrap our arms around vulnerable young people like strong families do and provide them with critical Home, Healing, and Engagement opportunities they need to be successful as they transition into adulthood.

There are several ways you can make a springtime financial gift to Monroe Harding:

  • Participate in our ongoing spring appeal https://www.monroeharding.org/donate/ and make a cash or in-kind donation.
  • Our annual fundraiser, Fostering Joy, is right around the corner! Join us for our virtual event on Saturday, May 8, as we Gather Small in a Big Way! and include exciting silent and live auctions and a virtual program. More information and tickets can be found at Monroe Harding – Fostering Joy 2021 (bidpal.net)
  • The annual 24-hour fundraising challenge, The Big Payback, is coming May 5-6. More information can be found at https://www.thebigpayback.org/monroeharding.

We thank you in advance for your support. Through your generosity, we will continue to foster the future of children, teens, and young adults who need us during this critical and most important time in their lives.

With Warmest Regards,

David Popen
