At 19, Serti joined our Supportive Housing program while attending classes at the Resource Center and working hard to build her independence.
She grew in confidence and skills every day, and when she found out she was pregnant, she knew it was time to take the next step and find a place of her own. Our team rallied around her—helping her search for an apartment, celebrating with her when she found one, and furnishing her new home so she and her baby could begin their next chapter with stability and comfort.
Today, Serti is living independently with her little one, knowing Monroe Harding is always just a phone call away. Staff even stopped by recently to check in and drop off a Thanksgiving meal, a small reminder that she still has a community cheering her on.
We’re grateful to have been her safe place while she found her footing and transitioned into permanent housing.
