What is Workforce Development?

Finding the right job can be a big step toward independence. Monroe Harding's workforce development program, Works Wonders, is an evidence-based, Harvard University award-winning program that helps young people explore career options, build job-readiness skills, and prepare for the workplace with support along the way.

Participants receive individualized career coaching andhands-on guidance with résumés, cover letters, mock interviews, job applications, employer visits, and career exploration. Opportunities may also include job shadowing, internships, and paid work experiences that help turn preparation into real-world experience.

Whether you are looking for your first job, considering anew career path, or simply figuring out what comes next, we are here to helpyou build the skills and confidence to move forward.
