Sometimes supporting a nonprofit is as simple as enjoying a scoop of ice cream.
This July, Monroe Harding teamed up with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams for our third annual summer profit share, inviting the Nashville community to celebrate National Ice Cream Day while supporting current and former foster youth. Thanks to Jeni’s and everyone who stopped by for a scoop, we raised critical funds to support our young people and programs across Middle Tennessee.
A profit share is a simple but powerful thing: a local business dedicates a portion of sales during a set timeframe to a nonprofit, turning an everyday purchase into community impact. For Monroe Harding, our partnership with Jeni’s not only raises funds, but it also introduces new faces to our mission, sparks conversations about foster care, and gives our team a chance to connect with the Nashville community in a fun, low-pressure setting.
Additionally, profit shares provide flexible support outside of our annual events that helps us respond to needs as they arise, whether that’s welcoming new foster families, providing safe housing and resources for young adults, or addressing unexpected challenges throughout the year.
Every cone and bowl purchased during this year’s fundraiser helped strengthen the support system around young people in foster care. Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared the event, and spread the word, and a huge thank you to Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams for three sweet summers of partnership.
